Pro Bono Counsel
Mr. Levine joined Dade Legal Aid in the Put Something Back Pro Bono Project in 1993 on a grant following Hurricane Andrew to lead the agency’s We Will Rebuild efforts. Upon successful completion of the grant, he joined the Legal Aid staff as Project Attorney for the Put Something Back department where he delved into expanding access to justice via pro bono partnerships. He served as a Past-President of the Florida Pro Bono Coordinators Association and was a Recipient of the Kay Meyers Pro Bono Coordinator Award. Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Levine screened, referred and assisted thousands of clients improving the lives of countless residents. He created new alliances, organized CLE seminars, staffed self help clinics, and supervised law school intern serving as their mentor beyond their time at Legal Aid. Mr. Levine served as Vice-Chair of the Dade County Alliance Against Domestic Violence and is a member of the Dade County Anti-Defamation League Civil Rights Committee. He was born and raised in Hollywood, CA, received his B.A. from the University of Southern California and J.D. from Whittier Law School.
