If so, Dade Legal Aid's Venture Law Project may be able to assist you through our program that offers free services to emerging artists, arts groups, qualifying seed and early stage entrepreneurs, and nonprofits in need of free legal services. Venture Law Project leads and supports Miami’s growing entrepreneurial community by helping emerging startups across South Florida grow on solid legal footing. Applicants are screened on a case by case basis. If your case is accepted you will receive notification that you are being matched with one of our knowledgeable and dedicated pro bono attorneys. Attorneys are available to answer your questions through Put Something Back and in partnership with Arts Business Council, Inc. and the Association of Corporate Counsel America.

Venture Law, Artists & Starts Ups

Through our pro bono program, we provide referrals to Pro Bono Attorneys who handle a variety of topics aimed at helping emerging artists, arts groups and inventors get off the ground on solid legal footing.  Pro Bono Attorneys also serve of Counsel to a variety of nonprofit groups.  Click here for information.
To apply for services Click Here to Apply Online or download the application HERE. Please submit completed application, together with the budget and attach financial documents to verify the financial affidavit (latest bank statement of startup’s bank account, individual bank account, or latest income tax filing). Each application is confidential and is reviewed for income eligibility, merit of case, and potential to proceed to accomplish goals. We cannot guarantee that we can accept every case. If you misrepresent yourself, miss appointments or are over income, you will be rejected by the project. You represent yourself until or unless a volunteer lawyer with the project agrees to represent you.
