Getting a Head Start on Pro Bono for Summer Associates

Generously Hosted by

Hogan Lovells US LLP

On June 3, 2025, Hogan Lovells US LLP hosted its annual “Getting a Head Start on Pro Bono” event in support of Dade Legal Aid- Put Something Back. The program is designed to inspire the next generation of attorneys by highlighting the vital role attorneys play in ensuring access to justice for underserved communities, including children, teens, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities. The event was graciously hosted by Hogan Lovells, and organized by Hogan Lovells’ attorneys, Daniel Balmori, Esq., and Darnesha Carter Foli, Esq., along with Stephanie Grosman, and welcomed dozens of summer associates from Miami’s top law firms.

Distinguished speakers included  U.S. District Senior Judge Paul Huck, Mr. Balmori, Ms. Carter Foli, and Karen Josefsberg Ladis, executive director, who reinforced their shared message that even the youngest legal professionals can make a significant difference by committing to pro bono service early on in their legal careers. Many thanks to Al Lindsay, Mr. Balmori, Ms. Carter Foli and the entire Hogan Lovells firm for their continued support of this program to benefit the legal community. This event raises awareness while empowering future attorneys to become champions of justice.
