Rene Padron, a 3L student at STU Law, has been volunteering with Legal Aid for the past few months conducting research, preparing reports and reviewing documents. Prior to attending law school, he taught English in Asia for four years. “Working abroad was a rewarding experience because I got to travel, learn Mandarin and Japanese, make friends and be a part of the culture. I can’t recommend it enough,” said Mr. Padron. “I decided to go to law school to give back to the South Florida community and help those with the least means gain access to legal services which is why Dade Legal Aid is so important.” Mr. Padron graduates in May 2023 and looks forward to a career in either commercial law or public interest.” Way to Go, Rene!
