Child Advocacy

Dade Legal Aid’s Child Advocacy Project provides critical legal representation, support and services to our community’s most vulnerable children living in poverty, in foster care, or aging out of dependency.  The award-winning Child Advocacy Project, also known as the Children’s Legal Collaborative, champions the rights of youth and foster teens ensuring they not only survive but thrive as they transition into adulthood safely, securely and successfully.  Staff Attorneys and Pro Bono Attorneys represent children and foster teens transitioning out of foster care into adulthood, as well as teen victims of human trafficking by advocating that each youth receives appropriate representation, treatment and services needed to recover and thrive.  Our attorneys appear in Dependency, Delinquency, Family, Probate, and Domestic Violence Court. This project is generously supported by Funding Florida Legal Aid “FFLA,” the Office of the Statewide Guardian ad Litem Program, Pro Bono Attorney and Law Firm Supporters, and Miami Dade County.
