VENTURE LAW

NEED HELP? WANT A FREE BUSINESS TUNE UP?

Helping Inventors, Artists, & Small Business Owners

Our Venture Law Project offers free legal services to emerging artists, arts groups, early-stage entrepreneurs, nonprofits and small businesses in South Florida. The program aims to support the local entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing access to knowledgeable pro bono attorneys. Applicants are screened individually, and if accepted, will be matched with an attorney. The program covers various legal topics to help participants establish a solid foundation.

If you are an early-stage entrepreneur, artist or non-profit in need of legal assistance in Miami, our Venture Law Project matches qualifying low-income residents, non-profit, start-up and small businesses with volunteer lawyers in a variety of areas of law: Taxation, 501c3, Lease Agreements, Contracts, Intellectual Property, Patent, Estate Planning and more.

To apply for services, click the button below.  Each application is confidential and reviewed for income eligibility and potential to proceed to accomplish goals.  We cannot guarantee that we can accept every case.  If you misrepresent yourself, miss appointments or are over income, you will be rejected by the project. You represent yourself until or unless a volunteer lawyer with the project agrees to represent you.

You must submit a completed application along with a budget and financial documents to verify individual income for all officers, as well as for the corporation. Applications are confidential and assessed for eligibility, case merit, and goals. Note that acceptance is not guaranteed, and misrepresentation, missed appointments, or exceeding income limits may lead to rejection. You will represent yourself until a volunteer attorney agrees to take your case.
