Robert D. W. Landon, III

Robert D. W. Landon, III, 57, of Miami, FL, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his beloved family on March 29, 2024.

He was born in Syracuse, NY in 1966 to Margaret and the late Robert D. W. Landon, II, and relocated to Miami in 1973. Robbie attended Saint Thomas Episcopal School and Ransom Everglades School, where he served as student body president.

Robbie graduated in 1989 with honors from Amherst College, where he made enduring friendships and met the love of his life, his wife Keith. They married in 1991, and he completed his Juris Doctorate with high honors at Harvard Law School in 1992.

After law school, he and Keith returned to Miami, FL and he began his legal career at Steel Hector & Davis. He spent over 27 years as an attorney and partner with Kenny Nachwalter before joining Berger Singerman for the final months of his career. He was known as a compassionate, level-headed advocate for his clients, and for his support of pro bono legal efforts in the greater Miami community.

Outside of the courtroom, Robbie loved reading biographies, boating on Biscayne Bay, chocolate ice cream, taking long walks and bike rides with his family and his dogs, and traveling far and wide with his wife and daughters. He was an active member of Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church.

After being diagnosed with glioblastoma in May of last year, Robbie and his family were immensely grateful for the compassionate care he received from UCSF Brain Tumor Center, the Miami Cancer Institute, the University of Miami’s Sylvester Cancer Center, and VITAS Hospice of Miami. Robbie and his family are also very appreciative of his wonderful private caregivers, who have supported the whole family for the past several months.

Robbie is survived by his adoring wife of nearly 33 years, K Keith Landon; daughters Kirby L. Johnson (Paul) and Claire H. Landon; and granddaughter, Mary M. Johnson. He also leaves behind his mother, Peggy, of Naples, FL, his mother-in-law Nancy Warren, and father-in-law Fredric Warren of New Orleans, LA. In addition he is survived by his sister, Anne L Dannacher (Gregor) of New York, NY, and sister-in-law, Aubrey Warren, of New Orleans, LA. Robbie was a beloved uncle to his niece, Caroline Dannacher, and his four nephews, Charles Dannacher, and Hunter, Brody, and Cooper Burns.
