LEGAL AID ADVISORY
Due to COVID-19 our services will be provided remotely. Please apply online or schedule a telephone intake if you need services. Dade Legal Aid continues conducting online and telephonic intake and is available to serve our community. Legal Assistance to qualifying low-income residents of Miami-Dade County in the following areas of law:

Family Law –
Legal Aid helps with the initial filing of a Divorce, Paternity and Visitation cases for low-income residents of Miami-Dade. Client must have physical custody of their minor child(ren) and be a resident of Miami-Dade County to initially qualify for services. Click Here to apply

Domestic Violence
Legal Aid accepts applications from victims of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Dating Violence and Stalking, seeking legal advice, Temporary Orders of Protection, and/or Final Orders of Protection.

Guardianship

Put Something Back “PSB”
A referral service for qualifying indigent clients for civil legal matters on issues such as Consumer & Bankruptcy, Real Estate, Probate, Deeds, Liens, Foreclosure, Name Change, Uncontested Divorce, Venture Law, Incorporation, Non-Profit, Taxation and Wills. REQUIREMENTS: To be eligible, client’s income may not exceed 125-150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. All clients are asked to please bring all relevant documents, identification and proof of income with you to our office. An organization may qualify for free services if its purpose is to serve eligible clients or is primarily comprised of eligible clients. Dade Legal Aid works with multiple service providers in the community to provide a safety net of services in all areas of civil law.  

IF YOU QUALIFY FOR ASSISTANCE YOU MAY BE REFERRED TO A PRO BONO ATTORNEY. 

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE REQUESTED DOCUMENTATION OR REQUIRED RECEIPTS AND PROOF OF INCOME YOU MAY BE REJECTED BY THE PRO BONO ATTORNEY. 

The agency offers appropriate auxiliary aids and services at no cost to deaf or hard of hearing clients and companions. 



Specialized Projects
are available for clients:

Small Claims– Small Claims “How To” project is for pro se litigants seeking information on how to proceed pro se in small claims court.

Wills on Wheels Clinics – Pro Bono attorneys travel to various location to provide needy residents information about probate and the effects of dying without a will.  Qualifying clients are paired with pro bono attorneys who will provide Wills and related documents remotely.

Immigration– In partnership with the local bar and providers, pro bono attorneys staff virtual clinics, take cases and appear in immigration proceedings remotely.

Venture Law, Artists, Non-Profit & Starts Ups– Workshops on diverse topics designed to aid entrepreneurs and those in need of free business tune ups without means to hire counsel. All services are offered remotely Click here to view information.
