Ms. Bonner is a 2008 graduate from the University of Miami School of Law where she was a Dean’s Merit Scholar and received recognition for her achievements in Litigation Skills and Advanced Evidence. Prior to joining Legal Aid, she worked in private practice focusing on family law, was a Division Chief in the Dependency Division of the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel, and served as a Public Defender in the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Officer where she tried over 40 cases to verdict. Ms. Bonner is an active member of the Miami Dade Bar Association and currently serves on the Board of Directors. She received the Miami Dade Bar Circle of Excellence Award for Outstanding Government Attorney and has been recognized as an Outstanding 40 Under 40 Lawyer by the Young Lawyers Section and South Florida Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Ms. Bonner has been a speaker on Trial Skills, Case Law Updates, Dependency, and the Intersection of Bankruptcy and Family Law. As a staff attorney, she provides services to a low-income clients and supports community outreach efforts.
Ms. Bonner graduated magna cum laude from the University of Florida in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She is licensed to practice law in Florida, New York, and Georgia.
