
Stephanie Grosman, Esq.
Staff and GAL Mentor Attorney
Ms. Grosman began her career at Dade Legal Aid in 2006 representing victims’ rights in domestic violence injunction hearings. She is currently a Staff Attorney in the Family Unit where she handles complex family cases, serves as a Guardian Ad Litem in contested family cases, and mentors hundreds of pro bono GAL attorneys through the Child Advocacy Project at Put Something Back. She created a Pro Bono Users Guide and FAQ for GAL Volunteer Attorneys through a Florida Bar Foundation grant and keeps the manual and volunteers up to date. The founding fellow of the Inaugural Class of the Dade Legal Aid Leadership Academy, she serves as its Coordinator and recruits talented lawyers to serve as ambassadors. In addition, Ms. Grosman organizes a variety of special events, fundraisers, and projects for the agency year-round. She is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Dade County Bar Association and serves on its Membership Committee. She previously served on the board of the Young Lawyers Section. In 2017, she received the Legal Luminaries Top Pro Bono & Public Interest Attorney Award for outstanding community involvement. In 2016, she was named one of the Top 40 Under 40 Lawyers of South Florida by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for taking on numerous leadership roles. She served as Host Committee Chair of the 5th Annual Singles for Switchboard Bachelor Auction and has been featured in Brickell Magazine “Miami’s Best Dressed” edition. Ms. Grosman authored an article on the importance of performing pro bono work entitled “Lawyers Can Lend a Hand by Doing Pro Bono Work” which appeared in the Miami Herald and assists with social media and newsletters. She earned her JD from Stetson University College of Law and her BA from Barry University. She is fluent in Spanish.
