Since 2017, Geoffrey Valdes-Alba, Esq. has served as a passionate and enthusiastic Domestic Violence and Family Law Attorney for Dade Legal Aid, representing hundreds of victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and abuse through their most difficult times. Prior to joining Dade Legal Aid, he worked closely with the Courts for five years as a dedicated Attorney/Case Manager for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit. He became the Senior Attorney/Case Manager, closing the highest number of cases in a one-month period with the assistance of the judges and the judicial staff. In that capacity, he also mentored new attorneys, judicial interns and other case management staff, guiding and directing them on how to proceed with challenging cases. Prior to working with the Courts, Mr. Valdes-Alba was in private practice handling family law cases at Alba Law, P.A.
Mr. Valdes-Alba is a member of the Florida Bar, Miami Dade County Bar, United States District Court, Southern District of Florida, the First Family Law American Inn of Court, and served as Chair of the Dade County Bar Association Family Law Committee. He is knowledgeable in all aspects of Family Law, Domestic Violence, Wills and Bankruptcy, and frequently serves as a Moderator and Speaker at Dade Legal Aid seminars designed to recruit and train pro bono attorneys for the agency. He is a 2007 graduate of Barry University, Dwayne O. Andreas School and is fluent in Spanish.
