Elizabeth “Liz” Marquardt is a certified public accountant and attorney with expertise in forensic accounting, financial and legal compliance, and organizational restructuring. She most recently served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Visit Florida Keys, the operating arm of the Monroe County Tourist Development Council. Previously, she was Senior Vice President at Bayview Asset Management and Bayview Legacy in Coral Gables. Liz has held a various senior leadership roles, including Chief Financial Officer of Volvo Treasury North America, Ferrell Law, and the Miami Art Museum—where she also served as Interim Museum Director. She was also a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax, LLC and with LNR Partners LLC, after beginning her career at KPMG.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, from Gettysburg College, her Master of Accountancy from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law.
Liz is an active member of the University of Miami’s Citizens Board, Iron Arrow Honor Society, The Florida Bar, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and is a licensed Florida Community Association Manager. She has also served for 15 years as Co-Site Coordinator of the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Coconut Grove. At Legal Aid, she will be coordinating the Bankruptcy Clinics.
