Domestic Violence Attorney
Andres Duran is a Staff Attorney in the Domestic Violence Unit. Prior to joining Legal Aid, he was in the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office for nearly two years. At the State, he worked in the Domestic Violence Division and the Juvenile Division and conducted over a dozen jury trials to verdict. He was also a supervisor where he oversaw attorneys and assisted in their case management from the initial investigation to the final disposition. Andres graduated from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2020 where he served as President of the Criminal Law Society and Executive Clerk of the Public Interest Law Society. He was also a member and competed on the nationally ranked Trial Team and won Best Overall Advocate at competition. Andres has always had an interest in public interest and his goal has always been to help individuals in need who do not have the means to do so on their own.
