In 1996, Ms. Hubbart chose public interest law after volunteering at Dade Legal Aid. As a Staff Attorney she handled hundreds of housing and benefits cases and later served as Senior Attorney in the Guardianship Department representing hundreds of legal guardians of low-income incapacitated individuals. Ms. Hubbart has extensive experience in the Guardianship arena and serves of Counsel. She received the Dade County Bar Association Robert L. Shevin Public Service Award for extraordinary service, the Probate and Guardianship Committee Above & Beyond Award, and the Guardian Angel Award from the South Florida Guardianship Association during her distinguished career. She chaired a Florida Bar Grievance Committee, served on the Florida Bar Government Lawyers Committee, and DCBA Probate and Guardianship Committee. Ms. Hubbart graduated from the University of Miami School of Law, cum laude, authoring two articles, “When Worlds Collide: The Intersection of Insurance and Motion Pictures” published in the University of Connecticut Insurance Law Journal, and “Inverse Condemnation and America’s Decaying Infrastructure,” published by the Florida Bar Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section.
