Legal Assistance to qualifying low-income residents of Miami-Dade County in the following areas of law:
Family Law –
Legal Aid helps with the initial filing of a Divorce, Paternity and Visitation cases for low income residents of Miami-Dade. Client must have physical custody of the minor child(ren) to initially qualify for services. Click Here to apply Required documents to be considered for services

A referral service for qualifying indigent clients for civil legal matters on issues such as Consumer & Bankruptcy, Real Estate, Probate, Deeds, Liens, Foreclosure, Name Change, Uncontested Divorce, Venture Law, Incorporation, Non-Profit, Taxation and Wills. REQUIREMENTS: To be eligible, client’s income may not exceed 125-150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. All clients are asked to please bring all relevant documents, identification and proof of income with you to our office.
An organization may qualify for free services if its purpose is to serve eligible clients or is primarily comprised of eligible clients. Dade Legal Aid works with multiple service providers in the community to provide a safety net of services in all areas of civil law.

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE REQUESTED DOCUMENTATION OR REQUIRED RECEIPTS AND PROOF OF INCOME YOU MAY BE REJECTED BY THE PRO BONO ATTORNEY.

Bankruptcy– Bankruptcy attorneys staff pro se clinics throughout the Southern District at various locations. In Miami, the clinics are held monthly on a Friday at the U.S. Bankruptcy Courthouse from 12:00 pm-1:15 pm. After watching a 45-minute video there is a general question and answer workshop to help pro se debtors. No appointment necessary. Walk ins welcome. Wills on Wheels Clinics – Pro Bono attorneys travel to various location to provide needy residents information about probate and the effects of dying without a will. Upon request, qualifying clients will receive a will and related documents.
Immigration– In partnership with the local bar and providers, pro bono attorneys staff clinics, take cases and appear in immigration proceedings.
Venture Law, Artists, Non-Profit & Starts Ups– Workshops on diverse topics designed to aid entrepreneurs and those in need of free business tune ups without means to hire counsel. Click here to view information.
